Spanish children get their presents on 6 January, from the Three Kings, and in Barcelona the place where the magic is staged is a former textile mill in Sant Andreu. The Three Kings toy factory, the Fàbrica dels Reis Mags, is a free family visit at the Fabra i Coats site, set up as the workshop where the Kings prepare the presents for the night of 5 January. Last season it opened seven evenings between 27 December and 4 January, from 5:30 to 9:30 pm, with a group going in every 20 minutes, at Carrer de Sant Adrià 20, 402 m from Sant Andreu metro on L1.

How do you get tickets for the Three Kings toy factory? Book online the morning tickets are released: last season that was 10 December at 10 am, and they sold out. Entry is free but every adult and every child over 2 needs a ticket. The visit runs in the evening, 5:30 to 9:30 pm, in Sant Andreu, 402 m from the L1 metro.

Does it fit your travel dates?

It only opens for about a week, between Christmas and Three Kings’ Day, so check your dates first.

  1. Arriving after 26 December. You are in the window: it opened on 27 to 30 December and 2 to 4 January.
  2. Here only before Christmas. It will not be open yet, but you can book in December if you come back for Three Kings.
  3. Here on 31 December or 1 January. Both days it was closed.
  4. Leaving on 5 January. That evening there is no factory visit, but the Three Kings parade fills the city from 6 pm.

How to book from abroad

Booking is online and free, so you can do it from home. In the latest edition it opened on Wednesday 10 December at 10 am, Barcelona time, and accessible tickets came out on 11 December; this year’s date is announced in early December.

Have the number of people and your preferred evening ready before 10 am, because tickets go very quickly. Remember they are individual: two adults and two children of 4 and 7 need four tickets. If your plans change, return them so another family can go.

What do children see inside?

The visit is a guided walk through the Kings’ workshop: the toy store, the delivery centre that organises the round of homes, a post office where the pages collect children’s letters, and a courtyard that shows the cogs and gears behind getting every present delivered on the night of 5 January. There is entertainment and short shows along the way.

It is made for local children who believe in the Kings, so it works best for families whose children already know the tradition. If yours celebrate with Father Christmas, explain the Three Kings beforehand; it makes the visit far more fun. Bring a letter written at home for the post office.

What to do if the factory is sold out

There are other ways to meet the Three Kings in Barcelona. Dates are last season’s except for Natalis, which has published its 2026 calendar.

How to get to Fabra i Coats

The site is at Carrer de Sant Adrià 20, in the old village of Sant Andreu. Take L1 to Sant Andreu, 402 m away, or L9 North or L10 North to Onze de Setembre, 431 m away.

A T-casual, 10 rides for €13 in zone 1, covers the trip there and back for a family over a few days; the metro ticket guide compares the cards. Holiday crowds on the metro attract pickpockets, so keep bags zipped; the Barcelona safety guide has the rest.

Remember the holiday closures: on 25 and 26 December and on 1 and 6 January many shops shut, as explained in the Christmas opening hours guide. For more family plans, see Christmas in Barcelona with kids and the wider Barcelona at Christmas guide; on the morning of the 6th, families share the tortell de Reis.
